TAIPEI (Taiwan News) -- In this photo, a Taiwan cherry tree can be seen in bloom, a month ahead of the traditional cherry blossom festival at the Wuling Farm area in central Taiwan's Taichung City.

Due to unusually warm weather this winter, many cherry trees have started to bloom a month early, with 70 percent of Taiwan cherry trees already in full bloom. The Directorate General of Highways (DHG) said that crowd controls will be implemented from Feb. 7-27, when the cherry blossom festival will be in full swing in the area, reported CNA.

In addition to Taiwan cherry, other species of the 30,000 cherry trees planted in the farm include Oshima cherry, Yaezakura cherry, and Wusheh cherry, according to the report. The park has also reported the hatching of baby black swans, which are another attraction in the area during the spring.
