TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – On Saturday, March 9, Taipei’s Out of India restaurant will be hosting one of the most exciting holiday events all year, “The Grand Holi Taipei 2019.”
Holi is one of the most important holidays in Indian culture, and celebrates the coming of spring each year, and the triumph of good over evil. Everyone in Taipei is invited to the party at this year’s festival, which is taking place at Green River Park (綠光河岸公園) in New Taipei, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Holi festival is well-known as a “festival of colors” where participants throw colored dye and powder at one another. At Saturday’s festival, organizers will provide dye mixed with water.
The festival is an opportunity to play, laugh, make friends, and to celebrate life
Organizers remind participants to buy a white t-shirt for the event, and to wear clothing they don’t mind getting covered in colored dye.
The event is only NT$200 for advance purchase, and includes an “Indian lunch box,” from the organizers. Without advance purchase, participants will have to pay NT$350 to enter. Tickets can be purchased through the event page.
In addition to the “festival of colors,” there will be DJ’s playing popular Indian music, professional Bollywood dance performance, and a wide array of food stalls serving delicious traditional Indian cuisine.
Come join the Grand Holi Taipei 2019, to kick off spring with a grand celebration of life and friendship.
