TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC) (中華文化總會) will host the annual South Taipei Fun Carnival (城南有意思) from April 4-7.
The 2019 South Taipei Fun Carnival will feature 30 local stores and hold two markets on April 4-5, along with board games and outdoor film screenings. There will also be a design exhibition on April 2.
Furthermore, to celebrate the centenary of the Presidential Office Building there will be a free concert on Ketagalan Avenue (凱達格蘭大道). Taiwan singer Tsai Jhen-Nan (蔡振南) and the band Frandé (法蘭黛樂團) will perform as the new group "Fanandé" (法南黛).
A GACC spokesperson said the 2018 South Taipei Fun Carnival attracted 60,000 people and won the Golden Pin Design Award (金點設計獎). GACC Vice President Jiang Chun-Nan (江春男) said residents enjoyed the event and hence it has been expanded into central Taipei this year.
The exhibition "Hello, Good 100" (百年好特展) will showcase collaborations between five Taiwan design studios and local stores, April 2, on the first floor of The General Association of Chinese Culture. For more information, see the official website.
