Taiwan’s future should not be about what the world can do for Taiwan, it’s about what Taiwan can do for the world. Taiwan is a refuge for vitality and hope, of the economy and the environment. Taiwan’s future is your future.
US-China-Taiwan relations
U.S. President Donald Trump should know by now that China is not an atheist country, rather it worships the god of money, Mammon. As Trump has said, “In America, we don’t worship government, we worship God.”
Although Taiwan is small, it is not just a bargaining chip but an ally in “Great Power” politics. Given confidence in this fact, we can create Taiwan’s future. We should learn the wisdom of ancient Judaism and we will send our blessings to the U.S. May peace be upon Washington. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” (Psalm 122:6) Taiwan is a faithful partner to the U.S.
Taiwan-China relations are important to the whole world. Taipei needs to be one of the “cities of refuge.” (Joshua 20:1-6) To become a new beacon for human rights in the world, we need to make Taiwan International Refugee Law a reality right away.
A country of beliefs
Taiwan should have a close relationship with the U.S., with China, and most importantly the world. Let the world choose to have a close relationship with Taiwan. Let justice have a close relationship with Taiwan, and let good things happen in Taiwan, making it a country of beliefs. A small government should have low tax rates as lower taxes attract good friends from afar.
It’s stupid to ask, “Why have a close relationship with Taiwan?” It’s wiser to ask, “How can we make the world closer to Taiwan?” “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14) To ensure creativity, the key is to guarantee freedom.
Freedom guarantee
As for economic prosperity, know that money is not wealth. Wealth includes honor and life. Friedrich Hayek, Nobel Prize laureate in Economics in 1974, said in his book “The Road to Serfdom,” [quoting Benjamin Franklin], “Those who are willing to give up essential liberties against a false sense of security and ephemeral deserve neither liberty nor safety.” “The system of private property is the most important guarantee of freedom.”
If you think positively, good things will happen. If you think negatively, bad things will happen. If you want to be a slave, you will learn to pamper others. If you want to be your own person, don’t “sit in the company of mockers.” (Psalm 1:1)
“If [a] you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23) According to the four principles of optimizing the country – vitality, living, ecology, and production – we need to open our doors to the world, plan Taiwan’s future, from the west to the east of Taiwan, design Taiwan’s transformative industries. Taiwan’s future is a country of beliefs.
