TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Taiwanese kids show “Action Families" rolled out on the free-to-air channel CTS in April, with another episode scheduled for Sunday (April 14).
Produced by Taipei-based production company Go Inside, “Action Families” sees five teams of parents and kids compete against one another by making short films in a limited amount of time.
“Video content like YouTube shorts and Instagram reels are very popular among kids these days,” commented Roger Cheng (鄭凱駿), founder of Go Inside and executive producer for “Action Families” and the associated “Action Kids.”
“In this new season, we will see how the teams of parents and kids work together when under pressure and also, we integrate some media literacy tips into the show. Ideas like fake news, TV commercials, sexual violence and cyber-scams are of utmost importance even for kids,” Cheng said.
“Action Families” is hosted by Michael Wang (王伯源), a Golden Bell Award-winning kids show host, and York Chen (陳宥楷). It broadcasts on CTS at 4 p.m. every Sunday in April.
