TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The India Summer Festival, organized by the India Taipei Association (ITA), is scheduled for May 25-26 and will be the largest Indian cultural event in Taiwan.
The jamboree features 30 music and dance performances and over 40 booths offering a variety of culinary and entertainment experiences, showcasing “Incredible India,” according to ITA. It will be held at Huashan 1914 Creative Park from 4-8 p.m. daily.
The festival will have over 10 Bollywood dance and classical Indian dance performances by artists from India and Taiwan, including Odissi, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and Kuchipudi.
Attendees can enjoy an array of authentic Indian cuisines from 13 renowned Indian restaurants across Taiwan. Indian beer will also be served.
Yoga practice sessions will be held for visitors to achieve physical and mental harmony. A henna art zone will allow people to experience the traditional natural dye hand painting.
Children and adults can also stop at the multiple art booths to create their own Indian artworks. Participants can also try on traditional Indian clothes like the Saree.
At the photo booth, visitors can feel like royalty in a recreation of the Jaipur royal palace and take Instagram-worthy pictures.
Lucky draw events will be held every hour, and people are encouraged to take selfies at the event and upload them to social media and have the chance to win grand prizes provided by an airline.
