TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Tigerair Taiwan received 1,000 valid registrations for job interviews, but only 100 applicants will eventually become flight attendants, reports said Saturday (May 25).
The first round of interviews took place Saturday, with a second round scheduled for June 1, per CNA. The successful applicants will start work during the second half of the year after eight weeks of training on the ground and in the air.
When it launched its latest recruitment drive in April, the budget airline received 3,000 registrations within two weeks. Following a review of the resumes, about 1,000 were approved to take part in Saturday’s interviews.
The applicants were asked to explain their enthusiasm for the airline job in front of other candidates and to read a short English-language text. The group interview was meant to test their language ability and their behavior in reacting to unexpected situations and pressure, the company said.
