TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Taiwan's CTBC Brothers baseball team (中信兄弟隊) said Wednesday (June 5) that South Korean pop star Hyuna will perform at their "Sing-along Themed Days" (K歌主題日) event on Aug. 3 at Taipei Dome.
Hyuna last performed in Taiwan in 2022. The team expects the performance to draw excitement from both baseball and K-pop fans, according to CNA.
The performance is part of the CTBC Brothers' two-day themed event scheduled for Aug. 3 and 4. More details and ticketing information will be released at a later date.
In April, the CTBC Brothers hosted an opening week event. They invited Taiwanese hip-hop group MJ116 (頑童116) and boy band Energy.
The high-quality sound system and energetic atmosphere at Taipei Dome during those performances sparked discussion within the entertainment industry. Several South Korean artists showed interest in performing in the venue.
Hyuna, known for her versatility and stage presence, has been dubbed the "Queen of Performances" by Taiwanese internet users. As a 17-year veteran of the industry, she maintains a dedicated fan base with a string of chart-topping hits.
The 2011 song “Bubble Pop!” by Hyuna and her group 4Minute released garnered over 100 million views on YouTube, becoming the first music video by a South Korean female artist to reach that milestone. In 2012, she further solidified her international presence by appearing in Psy's global hit, “Gangnam Style.”
