Currently an English teacher and a fitness trainer, she was recommended by Miss Taiwan Beauty Contest President Lina Pan (潘逢卿) to participate in the Miss Freedom of the World pageant.
Chiu said she frequently returns to her schools to participate in activities and share her experiences with younger students, encouraging them to persist in their dreams, pursue their aspirations, and maintain confidence. Her success in the international competition brought pride to her former teachers and school.
