TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Chan Hao-ching (詹皓晴) confirmed Thursday (June 27) that she will play at the Paris Olympics with her older sister Latisha Chan (詹詠然) in women’s doubles.
Chinese Taipei Tennis Association (CTTA) received a notification from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) on Wednesday (June 26) confirming that the Chan sisters will compete in the Olympics, per CNA.
Meanwhile, the ITF announced Hsieh Su-wei (謝淑薇), ranked second in women’s doubles, has secured a spot in the Paris Olympics. She has chosen 20-year-old Tsao Chia-yi (曹家宜) as her partner, per Formosa News.
Tennis events at the Paris Olympics will be held at Roland-Garros, the main court of the French Open. Both the men's and women's doubles events will feature 32 teams, with qualifications based on the latest world rankings following the French Open on June 10.
Doubles players ranked in the top 10 can select a partner from their country who is ranked within the top 300 in singles or doubles, reported CNA.
