TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan People’s Party (TPP) spokesperson Lin Tzu-yu (林子宇) was rescued after she fell into the river at New Taipei’s Bitan on Tuesday night (July 30).
CNA reported that Lin was sent to the hospital after being helped out of the water, and her current condition is not serious. The exact cause of the incident is under investigation.
TPP Chair Ko Wen-je (柯文哲) reportedly visited Lin in hospital after the incident. In addition to the spokesperson role, Lin is also the TPP’s director of international affairs, according to the party’s website.
