TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Gogoro’s announced Monday (Aug. 19) its GoShare service reached 2.3 million users.
According to a company press release published on Monday, GoShare serves nine major cities across Taiwan, with over 40 million rides logged—a rental every three seconds on average.
To show appreciation for the support and feedback from users, GoShare said it will introduce a more flexible billing option, “pause mode," on Sept. 2. The mode allows users to pause their ride without having to re-rent the vehicle at a rate of just NT$1 (US$0.031) per minute during the rental period.
After the user’s rental period reaches six minutes, they can activate pause mode anytime within the app. This also ensures that the vehicle will not be booked by someone else.
To provide a higher-quality, more user-friendly experience and meet diverse mobility needs, Gogoro said it will also adjust the rates for its “free-float" and "station-based” services starting Sept. 2. More information can be found here.
