TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Rapper Kanye West and singer Ty Dolla Sign's listening event, which was scheduled for Aug. 25 in Taiwan, has reportedly been canceled.
On July 30, JSM Cultural Creative Entertainment announced Kanye and Ty Dolla Sign would bring their “Vultures Listening Experience” tour to Taoyuan Arena. The tickets sold out immediately, leading to the addition of more seats.
Individuals involved in the event had been posting updates on Threads showing equipment being set up at Taoyuan Arena. However, on Wednesday (Aug. 21), tour organizers said the event was canceled, though an official cancellation announcement has yet to be made, per Mirror Media.
Tour organizers advised local Taiwanese contractors to take photos of their setup progress before taking things down and mentioned that they would be in touch regarding compensation.
The “Vultures Listening Experience” was scheduled for Aug. 23 in Seoul and Aug. 25 in Taiwan. There have been no reports of cancellations from Korean media, and tickets for the Taiwan show are still available on KKTIX.
Tour organizers have not yet provided an explanation for the event's cancellation.
