TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — An explosion at a vegetarian restaurant in Kaohsiung caused a fire that destroyed the entire establishment and damaged a car and several scooters parked outside.
The fire spread quickly through the small restaurant which was contained within walls made of iron sheet metal. No one was seriously harmed in the blaze, however, one car and seven scooters parked outside were seriously damaged, reported UDN.
The fire reportedly began accidentally inside the restaurant kitchen. When the owner slipped and fell, she knocked over a gas tank, which allegedly caused gas from the disconnected tank to ignite.
