TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Tropical Storm Pulasan's outer bands will bring rain to northern and eastern regions, although it is not expected to have a direct impact on Taiwan, said weather forecaster Yeh Chih-chun (葉致均).
According to a Central Weather Administration (CWA) report, on Tuesday (Sept. 17) at 6 a.m., Pulasan was moving west-northwest at 41 kilometers per hour.
From Sept. 17 until Sept. 19, the northern parts of Taoyuan, eastern regions, and Hengchun Peninsula may experience localized heavy rainfall. Other areas will see short afternoon showers, per CNA.
From Sept. 20 to Sept. 24, south Taiwan will see intermittent showers.
Yeh added that Wednesday’s (Sept. 18) temperatures will slightly decrease, with highs of about 33 to 35 degrees C south of Hsinchu. Northern and eastern windward areas will be around 30 to 32 C.
