TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Japan's popular coffee brand, No Coffee, has opened its first Taipei store.
Bringing its "No Coffee, No Life" motto to Taiwan's vibrant capital the store is on the first floor of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei Nanxi in the bustling Zhongshan District. It opened its doors on Wednesday (Sept. 18).
The Taipei store showcases a sophisticated industrial aesthetic with a minimalist black, white, and gray color scheme. Unlike its counterparts in other Asian cities, this location boasts an exclusive outdoor seating area, perfect for future events like music parties.
At the heart of No Coffee's appeal is its innovative approach to coffee, crafted under the creative guidance of founder Sato Shinsuke (佐藤慎介). The brand's signature offerings include a harmonious blend of rich milk and meticulously brewed coffee, with the black coffee latte standing out as a must-try item.
Catering to local tastes, the store has introduced three unique croissant flavors exclusive to the Taipei store: Fukuoka mentaiko, black truffle honey, and adzuki bean salted butter. These creations blend Japanese and Taiwanese culinary elements, offering a taste experience unique to this location.
No Coffee is renowned for its extensive range of original merchandise and collaborations. From apparel to keychains, and collaborations with anime, automotive, and footwear brands like Converse, and Mickey Mouse.
To mark the Taipei store's opening, it has launched a series of limited-edition items, including black and white T-shirts on Sept. 20 and Taipei-exclusive daruma dolls on Oct. 3.
With Sato's background in fashion and toy industries, No Coffee is set to bring more excitement to Taipei, with plans for cross-discipline collaborations and expansion into the Xinyi District in 2025.
