TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) recognized Taipei Fubon Bank for its adherence to fair customer treatment principles, ranking in the top 25% of outstanding banks for the second consecutive year.
Fubon President Tim Kuo (郭倍廷) said its Eagle Eye Anti-Fraud Alliance in 2023 was a significant initiative to enhance customer safety and fraud prevention. Through close collaboration with law enforcement, the bank developed its “Eagle Eye Model” using patented AI technology, reducing false alarms by 99%, and decreasing the number of flagged accounts by 36%.
Fubon said it is dedicated to protecting customer rights, taking concrete actions to bridge the digital divide, implementing friendly financial practices, enhancing the rights of various groups, and strengthening financial security. The bank said its ATMs meet accessibility standards, ensuring financial services meet customers’ needs.
Regarding youth financial literacy, Fubon said it uses popular social media platforms and easy-to-understand graphics to enhance the public’s risk management skills. To engage with the elderly and people with disabilities, the bank said it collaborates with welfare organizations like the Hondao Senior Citizens Welfare Foundation.
Fubon also offers courses to deepen its employees’ understanding of integrity and financial consumer protection. Additionally, the bank arranges for employees to visit international financial institutions to learn about fair treatment practices.
Fubon said it is committed to being a pioneer in customer treatment and will work with peers to create a barrier-free, trustworthy financial environment.
