TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) led a delegation to exhibit at the Bengaluru Space Expo in India, reports said Saturday (Sept. 28).
The expo takes place once every two years to promote the participation of the private sector in aerospace development. The current edition attracted 250 exhibitors and more than 100,000 visitors, per CNA.
ITRI took five young Taiwan companies to the expo in the hope they could develop new international contacts in the aerospace sector and find business opportunities in India. After the show, the companies said they had received several offers for cooperation and orders for their products and services.
The South Asian country had the experience with satellite launches and software development that Taiwan needed, according to ITRI. The research body said it would continue to accompany Taiwan aerospace-related companies to overseas trade fairs to promote their participation in international supply chains.
