TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Ninety-four flights have been canceled in Taiwan as Typhoon Krathon approaches.

Krathon's rainbands have reached Hengchun Peninsula, Pingtung, Taitung, and Kaohsiung,  and the eye is expected to make landfall in the south on Wednesday (Oct. 2). At 10 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 1), the Civil Aeronautics Administration said 85 domestic flights and nine international and cross-strait flights were canceled, per UDN.

Daily Air

Daily Air announced that all 28 flights on Tuesday are canceled. 

Mandarin Airlines

Mandarin Airlines has canceled 26 flights, with all Hualien and Taitung flights canceled. 

Flights departing from Kaohsiung to Penghu after 1 p.m. and to Kinmen after 3 p.m. are canceled, and flights from Taichung to Penghu after 4 p.m. Flights departing from Songshan Airport after 5 p.m. are also canceled.

Uni Air

Uni Air has canceled 31 flights, including all flights to and from Taitung. Flights to and from Kaohsiung are canceled after noon, and flights to and from Chiayi and Tainan are canceled after 2 p.m. 

B7-8962 from Kinmen to Taichung and B7-8651 and B7-8652 between Taichung and Penghu are canceled. Flight B7-8966 from Kinmen to Taichung and B7-8640 from Penghu to Taichung will depart earlier than scheduled.

China Airlines

China Airlines announced that Tuesday's flights CI177 from Osaka to Kaohsiung, CI758 from Singapore to Kaohsiung, and CI185 from Seoul to Kaohsiung are delayed. Flights CI840 from Bangkok to Kaohsiung and CI936 from Hong Kong to Kaohsiung are canceled.

Tigerair Taiwan

Tigerair Taiwan said flight IT578 from Da Nang to Kaohsiung will depart earlier at 7 p.m. local time. Actual flight schedules will be adjusted based on weather conditions

Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific announced the cancellation of flight CX448 from Hong Kong to Kaohsiung today. On Wednesday, flights CX432/424/458/448 from Hong Kong to Kaohsiung, and CX449/431/423/459 from Kaohsiung to Hong Kong are canceled, as well as flight CX408 from Hong Kong to Taipei.

On Thursday, flights CX432/424 from Hong Kong to Kaohsiung, CX449/431/423 from Kaohsiung to Hong Kong, and CX408 from Hong Kong to Taipei are canceled, along with flight CX407 from Taipei to Hong Kong. In addition, on Friday, flight CX407 from Taipei to Hong Kong is also canceled.
