The Kaohsiung City Government Transportation Bureau urged residents to avoid going out during the typhoon, per CNA. The bureau said city bus services, Kaohsiung Light Rail, and ferry services between Kaohsiung and Cijin have been suspended.
Kaohsiung MRT services have been reduced to one train every 20 minutes. YouBike public bike-sharing service is also unavailable on Wednesday.
Taiwan High-Speed Rail is operating two trains per hour on Wednesday. All Taiwan Railway Corporation scheduled trains on the western and eastern lines have been suspended, and the south link line trains were also temporarily halted.
All domestic flights from Kaohsiung have been canceled for the day, and passengers are advised to monitor airline announcements.
The Transportation Bureau reminded residents that strong winds and heavy rain during the typhoon could affect road conditions, increasing accident risk. Non-essential travel should be avoided.
The bureau will continue to monitor the typhoon's movements and coordinate with the Central Weather Administration and related agencies to implement appropriate traffic response measures.
