TAIPEI (Taiwan News) —Free tickets available to the public for the 113th National Day Gala at the Taipei Dome were snapped up 15 minutes after going online at noon on Monday (Sept. 30).
Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism reminded the public that tickets are non-transferable as attendees are required to bring their IDs and are subject to random inspection while entering the Taipei Dome. The National Day Gala is scheduled for Saturday (Oct. 5) from 6–9 p.m.
The event will feature an appearance by Taiwanese singer Jody Chiang (江蕙), who has not performed publicly in nine years. The gala is also scheduled to be the first non-sporting event to take place at the Taipei Dome, per SETN.
Taipei Dome will open at 4 p.m. on the day of the event. Those who arrive late or need to leave midway through the event will be subject to the organizer’s arrangements for entry and exit.
For those unable to obtain a ticket but who are still interested in the gala, an outdoor screen will simultaneously broadcast the entire event and be set up near Songshan Cultural Park. Organizers hope the gala event will bring Taipei citizens together to celebrate National Day.
Attendees are encouraged to take public transportation to the event, such as the Taipei MRT or local buses, and avoid driving. The Taipei City Information and Tourism Department has made arrangements such as deploying additional staff to facilitate efficient traffic flow and departure from the venue.
Additionally, six shuttle bus routes have been added for the event, departing every 30 minutes to and from Taipei Dome and traveling to Taipei Main Station, Songshan Train Station, and Songshan Airport, along with nearby MRT stations such as Zhongxiao Fuxing, Taipei 101, and Gongguan.
