TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — On Thursday (Oct. 3) a video showed six scooter riders buffeted by Typhoon Krathon's winds in Kaohsiung.
Krathon is forecast to make landfall in Kaohsiung around noon on Thursday. The wind and rain have intensified in areas around the city, per New-Reporter.com.
In a video, six scooters were pushed back by winds at the intersection of Xinguang Road and Zhonghua Road, per TTV News. Three were knocked over, while three others stopped to brace against the winds. Two of the riders appeared to be carrying passengers.
According to the latest data from the Central Weather Administration, Krathon's has slightly weakened over the past three hours, and its storm radius has also slightly reduced.
The typhoon's eye is currently over the sea southwest of Kaohsiung, moving north-northeast and then northward. Its storm radius has already reached areas south of Changhua.
