TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Michelin-selected My Humble House Restaurant (寒舍食譜) at Le Méridien Taipei offers refined Cantonese cuisine in an elegant setting, featuring six private dining rooms suitable for both business and private gatherings.
For six consecutive years, My Humble House has been recognized by Michelin and is located on the second floor of Le Méridien Taipei. Executive Chef Wu Ming-ju (吳銘儒) leads the kitchen, expertly blending traditional Cantonese techniques with contemporary Chinese cuisine.
The restaurant's interior is adorned with striking red and black decor, and it boasts six private dining rooms named after natural elements such as "Viewing Chrysanthemum" and "Green Pine." These intimate spaces are perfect for business meetings or private celebrations.
Signature dishes include Sichuan Pepper Pickled Mustard Fish, featuring a balanced white broth made with simmered fish bones, Sichuan pepper, and house-made Hakka sauerkraut. The dish is celebrated for its refreshing spice and tender fish slices.
Another standout is the Shrimp Paste Chinese Doughnut Rice Roll, which wraps translucent rice sheets around a crispy Chinese doughnut (youtiao) filled with delicate shrimp paste. The Cantonese-style Roasted Duck showcases traditional preparation techniques, from careful selection to meticulous marination and roasting.
The Black Pepper Matsusaka Chicken Pot is a flavorful dish, with premium chicken neck meat stir-fried in black pepper, bay leaves, and Shaoxing wine.
For dessert, the Almond Tea with Egg White is a warming treat made from premium almonds, paired with sesame crisps for added texture—healthy and satisfying.
My Humble House offers various private dining options, ranging from semi-private areas for 4-6 guests to large rooms for up to 20. Minimum charges range from NT$8,000 (US$248) to NT$70,000.
On Oct. 18-19, the restaurant will collaborate with Hong Kong's two-Michelin-starred Run restaurant to present a special menu. Featured dishes will include Black Pepper Wagyu Beef Puff and Cognac Superior Soy Sauce Lobster Tail, with lunch sets priced at NT$3,980 plus a 10% service charge and dinner at NT$6,880 plus 10%.
