TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwanese actor Tiger Wang (汪建民) died from lung cancer at age 56 on Monday (Oct. 7).
In November last year, Wang was diagnosed with stage 4 lung adenocarcinoma, per UDN. After 10 months of treatment, his condition initially improved, and he returned to work.
However, by the end of August, the cancer had returned. He was admitted to Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital in early September. On Tuesday afternoon, Wang's sister announced on his Facebook page that he had passed away on Monday evening.
His sister thanked all his friends who helped during his final days, as well as the medical staff and social workers who provided care. She also thanked Wang's girlfriend for staying by his side until the end.
Wang was known for several roles as an actor. He was also a producer for the Chinese war film “Wolf Warrior.”
