TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The rock band Mayday has postponed its weekend concerts due to Typhoon Kong-rey, which is expected to make landfall in southeast Taiwan on Thursday (Oct. 31).
On Tuesday morning, the band's label B’in Music announced that the “Just Love It” charity concerts had been postponed. It said details on the rescheduled dates would be announced as soon as possible.
B’in Music said with Typhoon Kong-rey approaching, safety and disaster prevention are its top priorities. “To ensure the safety of the audience, staff, and performers, after careful evaluation, we have decided to postpone the three-day 'Just Love It' concert,” said the music label.
B’in Music had planned the concerts for Nov. 1, 2, and 3 in Kaohsiung, Yuli Township, and Hualien, respectively. Besides Mayday, the lineup includes artists such as Rene Liu (劉若英), Tarcy Su (蘇慧倫), Energy, Accusefive (告五人), Della Ding (丁噹), Cosmos People (宇宙人), GBOYSWAG and Xiao Bing Chih (蕭秉治), Jiajia (家家), Ann (白安), MIXER (麋先生), Frande (法蘭黛樂團), BOOM!怪物星人, and Ray Huang (黃霆睿), among others.
The free “Just Love It” concerts drew eager anticipation from fans. B'in Music apologized for any inconvenience caused and asked everyone to stay safe and take precautions for the typhoon.
