TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Nuit Blanche Taipei returns with a "Nocturnal Animals Party" theme, transforming Daan Forest Park into an ecological and cultural celebration from 2 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 2) until 2 a.m. on Sunday.
2ENTER studio's "Data Verse Taipei Night Forest" merges Taipei's cityscape with Daan Forest Park in virtual reality. Visitors can scan QR codes to interact with real-time digital transformations of weather data, internet phenomena, and socioeconomic dynamics.
PX Mart's "Migratory&Searching" features a mirror ball installation by local art group "UxU Studio," reflecting sunlight during the day and creating unique light effects at night. The circular structure symbolizes natural cycles and human exploration.
Organized by Paris Nuit Blanche Curator Kitty Hartl, "French Animal Parade" features 20 roller skaters in "Pop Yeti" costumes leading hundreds of owl-masked participants through the park, accompanied by percussionists. Parades start hourly from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
The event includes international forums and art lectures. The Hong Foundation (洪建全基金會) will a symposium on building art ecosystems, while the JUT Art Museum will present a curator dialogue featuring experts from Paris Nuit Blanche and Roppongi Art Night Tokyo.
The discussions explore how nighttime art events reshape urban landscapes and public engagement in Taipei, Paris, and Tokyo. Museum hours extend until 8 p.m. during the event.
