UPDATE 08:30 p.m. with Huang leaving after being questioned.
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Former Taipei Deputy Mayor Huang Shan-shan (黃珊珊) faced questioning as a witness Friday (Nov. 8) about the Core Pacific City corruption case.
The investigation is focused on whether or not former Mayor Ko Wen-je (柯文哲) accepted bribes from developer Core Pacific Group in return for allowing the expansion of the floor area ratio of its Core Pacific City project under construction in Taipei. Six people, including Ko, Core Pacific Chair Sheen Ching-jing (沈慶京), Taipei City Councilor Angela Ying (應曉薇), and former Deputy Mayor Pong Cheng-sheng (彭振聲), have been detained in connection with the case.
Huang, now serving as a lawmaker for Ko’s Taiwan People Party (TPP), arrived at the Ministry of Justice Agency Against Corruption Friday noon for questioning.
She told the media beforehand that she had received a summons to appear before investigators as a witness, per CNA. Because of legislative work, Huang said she had asked for a postponement of the questioning twice.
She was reportedly questioned for more than six hours, first by the Agency Against Corruption, and later by prosecutors. Due to the confidentiality of the investigation, she did not discuss the meetings with the media after leaving the scene, CNA reported.

During the morning, prosecutors had already interrogated Ko, Ying, and former TPP campaign finance chief Lee Wen-tsung (李文宗). More than 20 people have been listed as defendants in the case.
The investigation is now focused on political donations by Sheen and the Core Pacific Group to Ko and his TPP accounts, CNA reported.
