TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Airlines, train, and ferry operators have suspended some operations as Tropical Storm Usagi is expected to make landfall in southern Taiwan on Friday night (Nov. 15).
The following transportation services have announced cancelations on Friday due to Usagi, per CNA.
Flights
Mandarin Airlines: Taipei to Taitung flights AE395, and AE396 are canceled.
UNI Air: Taipei to Taitung flights B7-8727, B7-8728, B7-8729, and B7-8730 are canceled.
Taiwan Railway Corporation (TRC)
"Breezy Blue" sightseeing services 5899 and 5898 from Pingtung to Taitung have been suspended. All other trains are running as normal.
Ferry services
Ferries between Donggang Pier and Xiaoliuqiu will stop after noon.
In addition, the following six ferry routes will suspend service
- Keelung to Matsu
- Beigan Baisha to Huangqi (Fujian)
- Kaohsiung to Magong
- Yanpu to Xiaoliuqiu
- Fugang to Green Island
Forest Recreation Areas/Attractions
Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area closed Friday.
The Alishan National Forest Recreation Area will close from 8 a.m. on Friday with the Alishan Forest Railway suspending service on Friday and Saturday.
Fushan Botanical Garden closed Friday.
