TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — An Indonesian delegation visited I-Mei Food Co.'s factory in Taoyuan's Longtan on Monday (Nov. 18).
The group included Indonesia’s Ministry of Investment and Downstream/BPKM Deputy Minister Tirta Nugraha Mursitama and officials. Representatives from provincial, district, and city Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agencies also toured the factory.
Company partner 7A Drones welcomed the group with a banner. A short fireworks display was held afterward.
The representatives visited I-Mei's Bong-Khang wind tunnel, where they learned that it serves as a testing facility for drone structural endurance. The 45-meter-long, 5-meter-wide tunnel simulates four extreme weather conditions: cold, hot, windy, and rainy.

The company’s ice bank silos were also introduced to the delegation. These silos utilize off-peak electricity to generate and store ice overnight for daytime air conditioning, enabling the company to decrease its energy consumption.
CEO Luis Ko (高志明) thanked the visitors for visiting and shared the company's history. He expressed his hope for future visits to further explore the factory.
I-mei's core business remains in the food industry, Ko pointed out, while also noting its subsidiaries in the drone sector.
Mursitama expressed his pleasure at witnessing the factory's production process first hand and thanked the company for the warm welcome. He said that Indonesia is open to the idea of setting up factories and the country would offer full support.
Mursitama said that Indonesia has a large number of farmers. He expressed hope for future collaboration in utilizing drones for agriculture.
