TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Evergreen Aviation Technologies plans to expand into the European market in 2025 and provide maintenance capabilities for the Airbus A350, CEO Li Wei-chang (李緯章) announced Monday (Nov. 25).
Speaking at a corporate briefing, Li said the company expects to complete the Airbus A350 civil aviation certification next year. Negotiations are also underway with two Asian airlines for A350 maintenance services, per CNA.
In related news, Evergreen-GE Engine Services, a joint venture between GE and Evergreen Aviation Technologies, halted operations following an inspection by the European Union that identified quality control issues.
Evergreen Aviation Technologies reported losses from the suspension of engine maintenance operations by Evergreen-GE at the end of September, leading to a third-quarter loss. The company recorded approximately NT$253 million (US$7.79 million) in losses from Evergreen-GE for the first three quarters of this year.
The company’s earnings per share for the first three quarters dropped to NT$3.78, down from NT$4.23 during the same period last year.
