TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The ABV Hotpot Skewers restaurant held its grand opening on Thursday (Nov. 28).
The restaurant offers authentic dishes from China’s Chongqing Province, particularly its renowned skewers cooked in a boiling spicy and tongue numbing broth. This method is convenient and brings out the iconic spicy flavors of the Chinese city.
Chongqing locals use generous amounts of chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns, creating a unique numbing heat that is both appetizing and refreshing in the province’s humid climate.
The food at ABV Hotpot Skewers embodies the essence of Chongqing’s food scene, the restaurant said in a press release: “We aim to share this fiery passion with every guest.”
To enhance the dining experience, the restaurant carefully pairs craft beer with different levels of spiciness. Bold IPAs complement the intense heat of spicy hot pots, while refreshing wheat beers balance the aromatic spice of stir-fried hot pots.
The restaurant is at 92-1, Kunming Street, in Taipei’s Wanhua District. For more information on menu items and reservations, visit its website.
