TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — AI data center builder and software provider Zettabyte announced on Tuesday (Dec. 3) that it entered a strategic alliance with Taiwan’s Pegatron.
Pegatron will adopt Zettabyte's GPU software solution, Zware, which was developed to improve AI server computing efficiency. Pegatron becomes the second major partner to join the Zettabyte lineup, following the announcement of a similar partnership with Wistron at the end of August.
Pegatron and Zettabyte will cooperate on AI data center development with Zware software solutions allowing AI workloads to be executed across multiple GPUs, servers, and data centers. This improves computing efficiency and significantly reduces power consumption, per UDN.
Optimizing GPU efficiency through Zware is an ideal energy-saving solution for Taiwan's future AI data centers. This will allow more domestic enterprises to achieve their AI goals with less energy.
Zettabyte Chair Tai Chung-Hou (邰中和) said, "The alliance with Pegatron is an important milestone for us in redefining AI infrastructure. With Pegatron's support, we will be able to accelerate the expansion of our solutions and meet the growing demand for high-performance AI computing."
Tai added that collaboration will highlight Zettabyte's leadership in the AI data center field and its ability to provide innovative technologies to global enterprises. Pegatron's cooperation with Zettabyte is in line with its overall strategy of promoting innovative AI technology ecosystems.
James Shue (徐衍珍), Pegatron CTO, said, “Our collaboration with Zettabyte realizes our shared vision of building sustainable and scalable AI solutions. We are excited to see the potential of Zware and the promise of this technology to dramatically reduce power consumption while improving AI computing performance. We believe that Zware will significantly enhance our new AI server products on the market.”
