TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Line announced Tuesday that daily video and voice calls using the messaging app in Taiwan have reached around 100 million.

According to Line, Taiwanese users spend about one hour daily on the app. The peak time to send photos and videos is 8-9 a.m., per CNA.

Line said that Taiwan leads the world in sticker usage for communication. Line added the "like" is used the most among the six emojis.

Line has approximately 22 million users in Taiwan, with over 5 million using the desktop version, mostly for work responsibilities.  

Line added the company has launched an AI headshot generator service, including animated-style photos "AI Mini Me," AI business profile photos, and AI ID photos.

In addition, the company offers online shopping, online financial services, and Line Pay mobile payment.
