TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Meteorologist Daniel Wu (吳德榮) said on Thursday that temperatures in some northern plains areas are forecast to drop to 6 C over the weekend, CNA reported.
Occasional rain is expected Thursday in northern and eastern Taiwan, with temperatures ranging from 16 to 20 C. Temperatures in central and southern Taiwan will range from 18 to 25 C, per Yahoo News.
A cold air mass will arrive Friday, bringing rain to the north and east with temperatures of 15 to 17 C. Central and southern Taiwan will see between 16 to 23 C.
Wu predicted Saturday and Sunday will be the coldest days, with temperatures in the north and northeast ranging from 11 to 19 C, and 12 to 24 C in central and southern Taiwan. The rain over the weekend is expected to lighten up.
The cold air mass will weaken from Monday, with temperatures ranging from 14 to 23 C in the north and northeast, and 15 to 25 C in central and southern Taiwan.
