TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Army Education, Training, and Doctrine Development Command is hiring civilians at its UAV training center established this year.
Six positions are available: Level 7 automated data processing officer, Level 6 aircraft maintenance supervisor, and Level 2 special operations personnel, Liberty Times reported. Applicants must pass academic and oral examinations to be considered.
Registration is open until Dec. 31, 2024, through the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration's Recruitment System. Selection tests are scheduled for Jan. 9, 2025.
Monthly salaries range from NT$35,870 (US$1,095) for level 2 roles to NT$74,040 for level 7 roles.
Candidates for the level 7 positions need a master’s degree in a related field, a Civil Aviation Authority drone operator license, at least six years of professional experience, and high English proficiency.
Taiwan needs sufficient operators to maintain and fly the 3,000 military drone fleet it seeks to build within five years.
