TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Eva Air’s Hello Kitty-themed “Lolly Jet” airplane made its first flight to Paris late Wednesday, the carrier said.
The airline introduced three Hello Kitty aircrafts this year. The “Besties Jet” debuted to the US' Chicago Aug. 28 and the “Pinky Jet” on Dec. 4 to Japan's Sendai.
The plane features colorful candy-themed designs and popular Sanrio characters. A costumed Hello Kitty flight attendant greeted passengers, who also received special Hello Kitty pouches.
Eva Air celebrated the debut with an event at Taoyuan International Airport’s Terminal 2. Candy-themed decorations adorned the check-in counters and boarding gates, featuring large backdrops, an archway, and photo stations where travelers could pose with five Sanrio characters from the aircraft.
Guests received exclusive Lolly Jet luggage tags, while those who shared photos online were given Sanrio character stickers. Limited-edition EVA Air logo merchandise was also available at the event.
The carrier now operates six Hello Kitty planes. Each offers Sanrio-themed onboard items, including headrest covers, tableware, coasters, slippers, and snack packaging, enhancing the travel experience for fans.
