TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Acer announced its latest gaming handhelds Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11 at CES on Monday.
According to a press release, the Nitro Blaze 8 is powered by AMD’s Ryzen 7 8840HS processor with AMD’s Radeon 780M integrated graphics chip. It is equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 2 TB of SSD storage for fast performance, and an 8.8-inch screen.
The Nitro Blaze 11 comes with the same specs but with a larger 10.95-inch screen. However, the screen’s refresh rate downclocks from 144 Hz to 120 Hz. Its side controllers are detachable.
Powered by Windows 11, the handheld consoles feature a built-in kickstand and a front camera for video calls. Acer’s Game Space app simplifies managing and accessing games.
Additionally, buyers will receive three free months of Microsoft Gaming’s PC Game Pass, allowing them to enjoy titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
The 1.59-pound Nitro Blaze 8 is priced at US$899 (NT$29,400), while the 2.31-pound Nitro Blaze 11 costs US$1,099 (NT$35,900). They will be released in Q2.
