TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Asus revealed its refreshed Republic of Gamers laptops at CES on Tuesday.
The company said in a press release it updated its ROG Strix and Zephyrus laptops, as well as its Flow Z13 gaming tablet. All devices feature Nvidia’s latest RTX 5000s series GPUs also announced at CES.
The flagship Strix series comes with Intel’s Ultra 9 275HX or AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor. Power gamers can customize their rig to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and 64 GB of DDR5 RAM.
Strix laptops include RGB lighting and a tool-less bottom panel design, the first in a gaming laptop. Intel laptops feature a sandwiched heatsink design which puts fins on the top and bottom for better cooling.
The portable Zephyrus line features an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and a dedicated NPU with 50 TOPS. The Intel option features the Ultra 9 processor 285H and can be configured with an RTX 5090.
The thin laptops come with a smooth OLED screen at 3K resolution on the G14 while the G16 features a 2.5K screen at up to 240 Hz refresh rate. They also come with improved cooling, which Asus claims is 23% more efficient than previous models.
First debuted in 2022, Asus’ Flow Z13 gaming tablet is refreshed with an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM. The base model comes with an RTX 5070 but can be upgraded to an RTX 5090.
