TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The Tourism Administration has been promoting incentive travel to Taiwan for Vietnamese businesses in Hanoi.
Taiwanese tea and movies were the main themes of the promotion in the Vietnamese capital Wednesday, per CNA. Representatives of 50 Vietnamese businesses visited the event, with food companies expressing interest in exploring Taiwan’s gourmet scene.
The size of incentive travel from Vietnam to Taiwan rose 20% last year compared to 2023, according to Taiwan’s tourism office in Ho Chi Minh City. This type of travel also brought with it higher earnings, according to officials.
The tourism office said it was contacting large enterprises from Vietnam’s banking, insurance, real estate, and logistics sectors to promote plans for incentive travel to Taiwan. There were plans to visit Vietnam’s 500 largest corporations who are are most likely to organize overseas trips for their staff.
Visitors to Wednesday’s event in Hanoi described Taiwan as an attractive destination because of its diverse food culture, simplified visa procedures, and reasonable cost of living.
