TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan’s EVA Air has been ranked among the world’s top 10 safest airlines by AirlineRatings.com.
Ranked seventh in the 2025 World's Safest Airlines list, EVA Air is the only Taiwanese airline to secure a spot in the top 10 for full-service carriers. EVA Air President Clay Sun (孫嘉明) highlighted the airline’s “excellent flight safety record,” noting the ranking reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to safety.
Sun added that EVA Air has been featured in the top 25 of the rankings every year since they were introduced in 2013. Since its founding in 1989, the airline has reported no major incidents.
The annual AirlineRatings.com rankings evaluate 385 airlines worldwide using a seven-star rating system. Factors considered include pilot training, incident frequency, and international safety audits.
The top 10 list included Air New Zealand, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways and Emirates tied for third, Virgin Australia, Etihad Airways, All Nippon Airways, EVA Air, Korean Air, Alaska Airlines, and Turkish Airlines.
