TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Fifteen Taiwanese drone manufacturers will participate in the inaugural Xponential Europe trade fair in Germany next month, reports said on Saturday.
The event is scheduled for Feb. 18-20 in Düsseldorf, with 170 vendors from 28 countries expected to attend, according to CNA. Exhibits will feature uncrewed aerial vehicles, autonomous surface vehicles, and drone ships, alongside seminars on topics such as the future of drones in Europe, material advancements, regulatory frameworks, infrastructure development, and national security concerns.
Officials noted that the nearly three-year war between Russia and Ukraine has underscored the strategic importance of drones in modern warfare. Germany’s defense and steel industries will showcase products reflecting their adaptation to this growing demand.
Taiwanese manufacturers view the fair as an opportunity to promote their products and expand exports. Officials said higher sales could help offset the country’s high production costs, enabling further growth in the sector.
