TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The exhibition “Beauty Speaks for Itself" will open Thursday at the Southern Branch of National Palace Museum in Chiayi and run until April 20.
The exhibition showcases 261 works, including 96 pieces from the National Palace Museum, 80 from the Paris Musee des Arts Decoratifs, and 85 pieces of jewelry and crafts from Van Cleef & Arpels, per CNA.
The National Palace Museum Director Hsiao Tsung-huang (蕭宗煌) said the team has divided the exhibition into five thematic sections, including "nature," "motion and stillness," "fairyland," "mystery," and "vibrancy."
Japanese architect Tane Tsuyoshi curated the exhibition design. He created an immersive experience for visitors to explore the beauty of Eastern and Western craftsmanship.
The museum added that in addition to the exhibition, it is also set to offer special lectures and children's craft workshops.
The exhibition was held from September to December at the National Palace Museum in Taipei’s Shilin District, attracting approximately 490,000 visitors.
