TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Central Weather Administration said the temperature in north Taiwan will drop to 8 C on Friday night, CNA reported.
A cold air mass is expected to bring cold weather nationwide from Friday to Sunday.
On Friday, temperatures in northern and eastern Taiwan will range from 8 C to 20 C, while central and southern regions will see temperatures between 11 C and 24 C. Over the weekend, temperatures in the north and east will range from 10 C to 15 C, while central and southern regions will see 12 C to 18 C.
From Friday to Sunday, brief showers are expected in the north and northeast, while central and southern regions will experience cloudy to clear skies.
The cold front will gradually weaken starting Monday, with Taiwan experiencing sunny to cloudy skies. However, another cold front is expected to arrive Wednesday night, potentially bringing overcast skies and rain across the regions.
Snowfall is possible in mountain areas above 2,000 to 3,000 meters in central and northern Taiwan on Friday and Saturday.
