TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Tainan City Government swore in newly appointed Secretariat Director-General Huang Kuo-chao (黃國照), Agriculture Bureau Director Lee Fang-lin (李芳林), and Urban Development Bureau Director Lin Jung-chuan (林榮川) on Tuesday.
Mayor Huang Wei-che (黃偉哲) said he was confident the new officials would use their expertise to enhance public services. He highlighted their extensive administrative backgrounds and practical experience, emphasizing their ability to contribute effectively in their new roles, per CNA.
Huang reaffirmed the city’s focus on agricultural development, stressing the need to boost the competitiveness and added value of local agricultural products. He also underscored the importance of promoting regional specialties to strengthen Tainan’s agricultural industry.
In addition, he described Tainan as a city rich in both culture and technology. Huang reiterated his commitment to making the city a more livable place.
The city government noted that the Secretariat plays a crucial administrative role. By prioritizing professional services the office aims to improve efficiency and enhance public trust in the government.
