TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Taiwan Excellence Drone International Business Opportunities Alliance (TEDIBOA) and the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic signed a memorandum of understanding to boost collaboration in the drone industry, CNA reported on Saturday.
TEDIBOA Co-Chair and Coretronic Intelligent Robotics Corporation General Manager Andy Hsin (忻維忠) inked the deal on behalf of the alliance Thursday. The Czech Republic-Taiwan Parliamentary Platform Chair Marek Benda and Taiwan’s representative to the Czech Republic Ke Liang-ruey (柯良叡) also attended the signing.
A business-to-business meeting followed the ceremony, with 19 Czech companies and 24 representatives participating.
The delegation continued its European tour in Poland on Friday, observing a partnership between alliance member Ahamani Advanced and Polish unmanned aerial vehicle solutions provider Farada Group.
Representatives from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, a Polish drone association, and Taiwan’s representative to Poland Jeff Liu (劉永健), attended the signing ceremony. A subsequent business meeting drew 40 Polish delegates.
Taiwan and Poland will collaborate on drone and component production and sales in the European market, the alliance said. The Taiwan-Poland Chamber of Commerce, which made seven visits to Taiwan between 2023 and last year, established industrial cooperation in November.
TEDIBOA led representatives from the Industrial Development Administration, the Industrial Technology Research Institute, and 25 drone manufacturers to participate in Xponential Europe, held in Germany from Tuesday to Thursday.
Taiwan showcased technologies including anti-drone systems, communication equipment, flight control chips, and drone payloads at the event. The delegation aimed to strengthen international partnerships and secure overseas orders.
