TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform in Taiwan on April 4 at the Taipei Dome.
Tickets went on sale on Feb. 19. To ensure optimal sound quality for all attendees, the concert's seating capacity has been reduced to 32,000 out of the venue’s total 50,000 seats following a site inspection by the concert’s technical director, per CNA.
The concert will feature Bocelli’s second son, Matteo Bocelli, who will perform in Taiwan for the first time alongside his father. Matteo launched his music career in 2018 with the single “Fall On Me,” a collaboration with Andrea.
Other performers include soprano Mariam Battistelli, singer Amy Manford, and flutist Andrea Griminelli. Carlo Bernini will conduct Taiwan’s National Symphony Orchestra and the Taipei Philharmonic Chorus.
Taipei Dome said Bocelli’s performance will be a significant milestone, highlighting the venue’s ability to host world-class music and art events. The venue looks forward to welcoming more international artists in the future.
At 66, Bocelli has performed in Taiwan five times, including at the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in 2008, in Tainan in 2013, and at the Taipei Arena in 2010, 2011, and 2015. He has sold over 90 million albums worldwide and amassed 16 billion streams.
