TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — EVA Air recently adopted the One Record digital logistics system, making it the first Taiwanese airline to adopt the standard.
EVA Air said in a Wednesday press release that One Record is a next-generation cargo standard promoted by the International Air Transport Association, per CNA. It uses application programming interface technology to enable real-time data flow within the global supply chain.
Additionally, the digital system cuts down on paper use and lowers carbon emissions. It also digitalizes dangerous goods declaration and clearance documents, making air cargo more sustainable.
Compared to traditional formats, One Record offers a more flexible data structure and higher security standards, allowing cargo operators to handle complex data more efficiently.
EVA Air said its trial period focused on sending key information, including freight on hand and ready for carriage, per UDN. It added that electronic waybills, documents that contain passenger or cargo info, were sent through the system smoothly.
