TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — On the final day of Taipei Cycle, Japan emerged as the largest buyer at the 2025 edition of the international bicycle fair, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said on Saturday.
Taipei Cycle and the Taiwan International Sports and Fitness Show (TaiSPO) opened on Wednesday at the Nangang Exhibition Center, drawing more than 4,500 buyers from over 80 countries, per CNA.
The top five countries purchasing the most products at the event were Japan, China, the United States, South Korea, and Singapore. Meanwhile, TaiSPO hosted one-on-one business discussions, allowing buyers from India, Israel, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Bulgaria to meet directly with sellers.
This year’s Taipei Cycle focused on environmental sustainability under the theme “Green Forward.” The event honored 35 companies for their commitment to green manufacturing, the circular economy, and low-carbon technologies.
The Bike Vision innovation competition awarded its top prize to Tiler, a company from the Netherlands, for developing a tile system that recharges electric bicycles.
