TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan's LinShiaoTung Jewelry invites guests to cultivate a taste for jewelry in spring through a sparkling collaboration with the Taipei Marriott Hotel.
The afternoon tea, available until June 30, draws inspiration from LinShiaoTung’s signature motifs, the bluebird and Eric Jade Bear. These symbols of happiness and protection take center stage in a tea experience at the hotel’s lobby lounge.
The set features seven desserts and four savory bites, priced at NT$1,300 (US$40) for one person. Guests can choose between fine tea or coffee, with the option to upgrade to a sparkling wine pairing for an additional NT$150.
Two standout creations pay homage to the Eric Jade Bear collection. The matcha milk mousse in bear shape takes the shape of a seated bear, combining Uji matcha with Valrhona white chocolate for a rich, indulgent flavor.
Layers of brown sugar Chantilly cream, citrus ganache, and orange marmalade balance the matcha’s subtle bitterness.

Another highlight is the pecan chocolate sandwich shaped like a bear lollipop. Made from pecan praline, crushed almonds, and white chocolate, it has a sweet maple syrup filling and is topped with a chocolate star — in a nod to the celestial charm of LinShiaoTung’s iconic bear designs.
Also inspired by the jewelry, the brown sugar financier is adorned with golden chocolate and silky Chantilly cream. The moist cake evokes the purity of a pearl, referencing the brand’s “Bluebird with Pearl” design.
Jewelry artist Lin Shiao-tung (林曉同) founded his brand in 1999 and is committed to creating emotionally resonant pieces rooted in a philosophy of happiness through the use of jade. This collaboration marks a milestone in the brand’s 25th anniversary celebration.
To commemorate the occasion, guests who reserve the afternoon tea set will receive a limited-edition phone lanyard or a bear plush charm, available while supplies last.
