TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile, and FarEasTone will participate in the Cybersec Expo at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from Tuesday to Thursday.
The annual exhibition, organized by iThome, is recognized as one of Asia's most influential cybersecurity conferences and networking platforms. This year’s event, themed “Team Cybersecurity,” features more than 300 sessions and includes 400 leading global cybersecurity brands. Organizers expect 20,000 participants.
Chunghwa Telecom and its subsidiary, CHT Security Company, are showcasing new information security technologies. The companies will highlight post-quantum cryptography and anti-fraud technologies at their booths to build a robust cybersecurity defense, per CNA.
Chunghwa Telecom is debuting its AI-powered domain guard system at the exhibition. The system uses AI to monitor and identify suspicious domains and block malicious websites.
The company is also introducing a comprehensive cybersecurity solution that includes a network defense system, a "Zero Trust" solution, and services for risk assessment and security monitoring. It said that its solution is designed to enhance enterprise-level security management.
Chunghwa Telecom President Lin Rong-syh (林榮賜) said the company launched a new post-quantum encryption module that meets the National Institute of Standards and Technology standards. The module features server key protection, high-security encryption and decryption capabilities, and a built-in intrusion detection mechanism to prevent data theft.
This year marks Taiwan Mobile’s fourth time participating in the event. The company is showcasing eight cybersecurity products, including services for asset inventory, data monitoring, data management, risk assessment, and protection against data theft.
Chu Hsiao-hsing (朱曉幸), chief commercial officer of Taiwan Mobile’s enterprise service division, said that deepfakes have become a significant cybersecurity threat. She noted the increasing targeting of businesses by ransomware attacks and emphasized the importance of companies adopting proactive defense and multi-layer protection mechanisms.
FarEasTone and its subsidiary, Information Security Service Digital United Incorporation, are showcasing five cybersecurity solutions at the exhibition. They will also present a cloud data center designed to meet AI servers' high power consumption and heat dissipation demands.
Information Security Service Digital United Incorporation Chair Philip Tseng (曾詩淵) said that while AI enhances business operations, it also introduces new cybersecurity threats. He added the company is leveraging AI in telecom fraud prevention to help enterprises strengthen their data management and protection.
